Week 1

Good Morning Race Fans,
It was a tough week 1 for the MCL Racing Team...
We qualified pretty well for our first time out with a 19.673... beating our
expectations... So we were happy... the trouble is that the competition was
WICKED fast... putting us 15th overall...
The heat race is when the bad luck rolled in... our oil leak we thought we had
fixed from Saturday Practice last week showed its ugly head again and after 1
lap in the heat, we were black flagged and sent to the pits.
In the feature we started 15th and finished 15th... we had a decent car to start
the race, but as the track got tighter, we faded a bit and couldn't keep pace
with the top 10...
We are working this week on that pesky oil leak... it's kind of tricky that it
doesn't leak at low idle or RPMs, it only leaks on the track... and by the time
we get into the pits it has sprayed all over the engine and front supension...
making it VERY hard to pin point where it's coming from... all we know is it
makes a mess!!!
We are also switching gears in an attempt to get better off the corner speed
and get the crate motor would up a little faster... Its power is higher up in the
RPMs, so we hope to gain some speed there as well...
We are currently sitting in the 18th place in points after a rough first week...
we'll be climbing fast... so keep your eye on the MCL Blue #36!!!
Week 2 will be exciting!!! Gotta get all these bugs worked out for week 3...
