Good Morning Race Fans!
The #36 MCL Racing Team is down to the final 2 weeks of the season...
We started out the night great.... the car was good in practice and we qualified
well with a 19.5 second lap putting us in the show by time for the first time in
weeks... The new B&B motor was pulling great and things were looking up...
In the heat race, we worked the outside lane and got up to the 2nd spot.... We
ran down the leader #3 John Meidam in the Bud Car, but ran out of laps and
finished a solid 2nd place.... Also turning in the fastest time of the race with a
19.714 lap...
With our confidence building for the first time in a while, we took to the feature
race... Again, having a solid car we had to go to the outside lane to make
some progress... While on the outside of the #18 car of Robb Vanderloop, he
somehow managed to sandwhich us between him and the wall... we were
three quarters of the way down the backstretch past the score board and got
smushed... both sides of the front suspension were destroyed.... the left side
from the contact with him and the right side from the corresponding wall
impact... we were done for the night and on the tow truck hook.
Very disappointing and costly situation... The #36 Team is working hard and
is also receiving some great help from the #8 Mike Butz Racing this morning
to get the car fixed and ready for Norway tonight... We will be ready to rocket by
our 2:00 departure time... Racing starts at 7:30 at Norway tonight! We were a
bit light on pit crew for the trip tonight, so the #8 team is also coming with to
lend a helping hand at the track tonight as well... BIG thanks to those guys!!!

While your at Norway tonight... be sure to keep an eye on the Super Stock
Races... the Red #10 is that of the one and only Mike Higgins!!! Mike is a pit
crew member on our team on Thursday nights and races his own car on
Friday nights at Norway... When you're not cheering for the #36... give a shout
out for the #10...
Next week is our FINAL week of 2010... Thursday is Fan Appreciation night at
WIR... there is a band in the pits as well as FREE Beer and Corn Roast for all
fans... Then the #36 team gets ready and heads for Norway on Sunday for the
Labor Day 125 lap race with the ASA Midwest Tour boys.... Be sure to come
and see us battle the best in the midwest at Norway!!!
